Privacy policy

Your work data stays yours.

My Pick Rate is a worker-owned personal productivity tracker operated by Nora Knows LLC. We collect the information needed to run the service, keep your history available to you, deliver optional functional reminders, manage optional Pro purchases, diagnose production app crashes, and, when analytics is enabled, understand limited website and app usage. We do not sell your personal data or build employer-monitoring or advertising profiles from your work data.

What this covers

My Pick Rate on the web, iPhone, and Android

This policy applies to MyPickRate.com and the My Pick Rate mobile apps. When you follow a link to another service, such as WaitToSave or Amazon, that service's own privacy policy applies after you leave My Pick Rate.

Information we collect

Account and sign-in information

If you create or use an account, My Pick Rate stores the account information needed to identify you and keep your data attached to the correct account. Depending on the sign-in method you choose, this can include your name, email address, profile image, provider account-link information, sign-in timestamps, and My Pick Rate's own internal account identifiers.

Google and Apple handle their own sign-in credentials. My Pick Rate does not receive or store your Google or Apple password.

Your tracking record

Work profile, shifts, and entries

My Pick Rate stores the information you enter or configure so it can calculate and preserve your personal work record. This can include your target rate, metric/profile settings, timezone, shifts, quantities, timestamps, shift timing, notes where available, and calculated rate or goal information.

This information is for your My Pick Rate account. We do not provide an employer dashboard, public leaderboard, or hidden employer-monitoring feed containing your individual productivity data.

Optional content

Proof photos

If you choose to attach proof photos to a synced entry, My Pick Rate stores them in private storage and associates them with your account. On iPhone or Android, you can explicitly choose to take a photo or choose one from your phone; camera or photo access is used for that action rather than being required for normal rate tracking. The app prepares the selected image before upload, and proof photos are not part of the offline work-entry queue.

Ordinary My Pick Rate APIs require account authorization to retrieve private proof content. Proof photos are optional, up to three can be attached to one entry, and you can remove individual photos without deleting the work entry.

Pro purchases

Purchase and entitlement information

Apple App Store or Google Play handles your payment method and the store transaction. My Pick Rate does not receive or store your full credit-card or payment-card number.

My Pick Rate uses RevenueCat to verify and manage Pro access. RevenueCat and My Pick Rate process the purchase information needed to do that, such as a dedicated My Pick Rate billing identifier, product and entitlement identifiers, purchase and entitlement status, purchase history, and store or provider metadata needed for verification, restoration, refunds, revocations, or transfers. The billing identifier is separate from your email address and sign-in-provider identifiers, but My Pick Rate can associate it with your signed-in account so Pro works on the correct account.

On your device

Local app data

The mobile app stores limited account-linked information on your device for authentication, offline operation, and reliability. This includes secure session material, a private offline queue for unsynced work entries, local shift snapshots and notes needed to finish or recover offline work, cached worker/profile and day-state context, duplicate-shift conflict recovery records, queue ownership mappings, a cached server-confirmed Shift Card status/public collectible projection when that feature is available, a private app-installation identifier used for notification routing, and local utility state such as Break 15 timing. The Shift Card cache is not designed to store raw work-evidence timestamps or create collectible ownership locally. Unsynced work entries are sent to My Pick Rate when the app can reconnect.

Account deletion also attempts to remove the deleted account's My Pick Rate device-local queue, offline shift, conflict-recovery, cached worker/profile, Shift Card confirmation cache, and ownership records. Break 15 timing is a device-local utility. My Pick Rate does not create a server-side break-history record or use your break timer to change your tracked rate.

Notifications

Optional functional reminders

If you enable notifications on a mobile device, My Pick Rate can register that device for useful app reminders. These can include an optional close-shift reminder when a tracked shift remains open and one month-end report reminder for eligible Free accounts so the current month can be saved before it becomes part of the historical archive. The close-shift timing preference is stored with your My Pick Rate account. Month-end reminder delivery uses bounded account-level operational state so the same month is not intentionally reminded twice.

Notification routing uses an app-generated installation identifier, an Expo push token, your My Pick Rate account identifier, the mobile platform, registration status or timestamps, and temporary delivery-receipt information. Close-shift notification routing can include the related shift identifier; month-end routing includes only the month key needed to open the correct report. The notification payload is not designed to contain your rate history, quantities, hours, notes, proof photos, email address, authentication token, or billing state.

My Pick Rate uses Expo's push-notification service to route these messages to Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging, depending on your device. Notification routing information is used for app functionality, not advertising. Signing out attempts to retire that device's registration, and account deletion removes or scrubs My Pick Rate's account-owned notification-routing and reminder-delivery records.

Analytics

Limited product and acquisition analytics when enabled

When production analytics is enabled, My Pick Rate may use Google Analytics on MyPickRate.com and Google Analytics for Firebase in the mobile apps to understand page or screen views, app platform and version, selected product-loop interactions, app-store interest, and privacy-light acquisition information such as campaign labels or referring-site information. Google Analytics for Firebase can derive coarse geographic information from network information such as an IP address even though My Pick Rate does not request device GPS or Android location permission. Analytics is used to understand whether people can discover and successfully use My Pick Rate, not to monitor an individual worker for an employer.

My Pick Rate's analytics design does not intentionally send your name, email address, work profile, employer, shifts, entry quantities, notes, proof photos, precise physical location, push token, or raw My Pick Rate account identifier as analytics event parameters. The current website analytics configuration disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals. We do not use this analytics data to build a third-party advertising profile from your work activity.

Diagnostics

Crash reports from production mobile apps

When production crash reporting is enabled, the iPhone and Android apps use Sentry to receive limited technical diagnostics when the app encounters an error or crash. A report can include the error or crash type, stack trace, app version/build, operating-system information, device model or device state, and other technical context needed to reproduce and fix the failure.

My Pick Rate configures this crash reporting as diagnostics-only. We do not intentionally attach your My Pick Rate user ID, email address, work profile, shifts, entry quantities, proof photos, request payloads, screenshots, view hierarchy, breadcrumbs, session replay, crash-free session tracking, or performance/profiling telemetry to Sentry crash events. Crash reports are used to maintain app reliability and security, not to build an employer or advertising profile.

Wellness

General comfort content, not health tracking

My Pick Rate's Wellness content is general comfort and mobility content. The current app does not ask you to record symptoms, pain scores, diagnoses, medical conditions, or other health responses through Wellness.

How we use information

To provide and protect My Pick Rate

We use information described above to:

  • create and maintain your account;
  • calculate, sync, display, and preserve your personal work history;
  • support offline entry and device-to-server synchronization;
  • deliver optional functional reminders to devices you enable;
  • store and retrieve optional proof photos you choose to add;
  • verify, restore, and manage optional Pro purchase access;
  • measure limited acquisition and product-loop usage when analytics is enabled so we can improve discovery and usability;
  • diagnose production mobile-app errors and crashes;
  • prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, maintain security, and operate the service; and
  • respond when you contact us for support or privacy questions.

Service providers

Who processes information for My Pick Rate

We use service providers to operate My Pick Rate. Depending on the feature and platform you use, these include Google and Apple for sign-in, MongoDB for application and account records, Vercel for application hosting and private proof-photo storage, Expo plus Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional mobile notifications, RevenueCat for purchase verification and entitlement management, Sentry for production mobile crash diagnostics when enabled, Google Analytics or Google Analytics for Firebase for limited product and acquisition analytics when enabled, and Apple App Store or Google Play for store billing.

My Pick Rate can also load a display-only Supply Locker shelf from WaitToSave. That request is not designed to send your My Pick Rate identity, shifts, entries, rate history, proof photos, or My Pick Rate authentication credentials to WaitToSave. If you choose an external shopping link, the destination service's privacy terms apply.

What we do not do

No sale of your work data. No ad profile.

The current My Pick Rate service does not:

  • sell or rent your personal data;
  • sell your individual productivity history;
  • provide your individual productivity record to your employer as an employer-monitoring product;
  • use your productivity record or notification-routing data for third-party advertising or cross-app advertising tracking;
  • request Android location permission, use device GPS for My Pick Rate, or intentionally collect precise physical location;
  • collect your contacts, SMS history, or call history;
  • collect biometric data for My Pick Rate authentication; or
  • collect payment-card numbers for Pro purchases.

Security

We limit access and use protected storage

My Pick Rate uses authenticated account access, encrypted HTTPS connections, protected server-side credentials, private proof-photo storage, and device secure storage for native session and app-installation material. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we design My Pick Rate so sensitive account credentials and private worker records are not intentionally exposed through public app surfaces.

Deletion

You can permanently delete your My Pick Rate account

You can delete your account from My Pick Rate's Settings on the web or Settings → Privacy & support in the mobile app. Account deletion removes My Pick Rate access and My Pick Rate-owned records, including work profile data, shifts, entries, entitlement records, mobile authorization/session records, account-owned notification-routing and reminder-delivery records, and optional proof photos. On mobile, the app also attempts to purge account-scoped offline queue, shift, conflict-recovery, worker/profile cache, Shift Card confirmation cache, and ownership records stored on that device. Where authentication identity infrastructure is shared with another Nora Knows service, the shared identity record may be retained for that other service while My Pick Rate-owned fields and product associations are removed. When a RevenueCat billing customer is attached, My Pick Rate also attempts to erase that RevenueCat customer record before completing local account deletion.

Deleting a My Pick Rate account does not refund a completed App Store or Google Play Pro purchase. Store purchase and refund records remain controlled by the applicable store. Crash diagnostics and privacy-minimized analytics are designed not to use your My Pick Rate account identity for account-management purposes, and Apple, Google, Expo, Sentry, and other service providers may retain transaction, delivery, diagnostic, analytics, or operational records as required by their own policies, configured retention settings, or legal obligations.
